Slate roofing tiles

Slate is fine grained rock formed over 500 million years, starting from sedimentary clay deposits in ancient seas and when overtime the earth’s crust temperature heated and cooled the clay slowly turned into shale and eventually to slate.

Slate roof tiles are a natural, durable and attractive material which will withstand the most severe weather conditions and temperatures. Slates are one of the most common materials used for thousands of years and are recognized as one of the finest roofing materials available. A good quality slate will last the life time of a building and is ideal for use on any project.

We regularly work with Natural slate, Artificial fibre cement slate and Reclaimed slate tiles.

Concrete & Clay roof tiles

Concrete roof tiles have been around for almost a hundred years. The mixture of cement, sand and water, along with a number of smaller aggregates added by manufacturers, gives the material a great advantage in terms of its adaptable nature.

They can be moulded to match almost any design style and the range of colours available is endless with a choice of rough or smooth texture.

Clay roof tiles have been used for thousands of years & remain as popular as ever, adding a beautiful finishing touch to the roof of any building, whether public or residential. They provide a strong protection and come in a range of colours. They also add a naturalistic appeal to historic and more traditional properties. The iconic colour of the tiles can be maintained for decades, and any additional colour bonded to the clay will not fade or peel over time due to the high temperatures used in the kiln.
